Adult Education Youth Calendar

Nursery:
Jesus clearly affirmed the great importance of children when He took a little child in His arms and said in Mark 9:37, “Whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me welcomes not me but the one who sent me.” And again when He said in Mark 10:14, “Let the little children come to me; do not stop them for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.”

Children belong at Echo Hill too!  Come and explore our up-to-date nursery, complete with electronic check-in system and professionally trained staff.  It’s a safe and fun place for every child.

Preschool
Echo Hill takes great strides to create a safe and warm environment as our preschool age children develop relationships with God, the church, and each other.

We encourage each other to walk in the footsteps of Jesus. Bible stories come alive through art projects, puzzles, and singing.  And of course, crafts, treats, and dancing are always part of the routine, too!

K-5:  Workshop Rotation Sunday School:
Echo Hill teaches major Bible stories and concepts through kid-friendly multimedia workshops including: Art, Drama, Music, Games, A-V, Puppets, Storytelling, Computers, and any other educational media you can get your hands on.  We teach the same Bible story in all of the workshops for four or five weeks rotating the kids to a different workshop each week.  Let’s explore God’s love and promises together!

Middle School (Grades 6,7,8)  The Old Testament
Just like in Bible times, the older youth take an in-depth look and study at the Old Testament.  Come and hear the stories God told through faithful people, both then and now!

Youth Group: Grades 6-12  Every Wednesday Night 6:30 – 8:00
The youth gather at the church to re-connect with one another for fellowship, food, and fun.  Mission activities, Bible Study and games rotate – but one thing is for sure: fun is non-negotiable!  We get together every other week, including some activities that are off-campus from the church.  This is a time you will not want to miss!

ConfirmationGrades 7-8
Come on, admit it – you like a good story!  We’ll gather round the table as we explore stories of the Bible, stories of believers from every time and place, and maybe even learn more about God’s story for us.  Confirmation meets every other Wednesday, and is open to anyone in grades 7 and 8 who’s interested in becoming a member of Jesus’ church.  See you there!

High School: Joan of Arcadia Series
Each episode gives a new “sighting” of God through the eyes of a 16 year old, Joan Girardi, an average girl with average problems – like keeping her grades up, crushes on boys and fighting with her two brothers.  Joan brings up more theological questions than answers, like why God won’t intervene to heal her brother so he can walk again.  Come and hear Joan’s story; you might find it fits with your life story too!
