Connections Small Group Ministry

A small group is an intentional face-to-face gathering varying in size and meeting regularly to accomplish an agreed-upon Christian Purpose.

Our NESTING VISION for Connections Ministry: Connection ministry, in partnership with other ministries, meets people where they are in their faith journeys, and creates places of caring community where they can seek God together and be transformed into disciples who make a positive impact in the world.

We help create new groups as needs and interests develop.

Book Group - The Book Group meets the 4th Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm in the lounge. The group selects a variety of books to read and discuss. Contact Deb Hansen.

Men’s Fellowship Group – This group shares breakfast and guest speakers. They meet the 2nd Saturday of each month and visitors are always welcome.

Cruisers - (Ages 25-50+) Singles and families meet every month for fellowship. Whether it’s going out for dinner and a movie, karaoke, Murder Mystery Theater or just meeting at the church for a potluck, this group keeps busy. Childcare is provided for many of the outings. Our members consider this event cheaper than paying for your own entertainment and a babysitter. Plus all of your friends are invited. Contact Sue Neil.

Kitchen Dialogue – This group meets weekly on Tuesday morning at 9:30 am in the lounge for fellowship, devotions, program and service. On the last week of the month they prepare the church newsletter for mailing.

Sewing Circle – Meets Monday mornings to sew quilts and other items for mission. Fellowship and devotions round out the gathering.

Mariners - (Seniors) If you’re retired and looking for a mature crowd to spend time with, the Mariners may be for you. This group enjoys programs with local speakers, eating out and celebrating milestones in members’ lives.

Emmaus Reunion Group - For those who have experienced the Walk to Emmaus or Chrysalis spiritual renewal weekends.

Worker Bees – The Worker Bees meet each Monday* from 6:00pm to 9:00pm to refurbish and maintain the church building. Paint, paper, drywall, patching, shelf building and construction are all things they do on a regular basis. Put your work clothes and join us. There is always something to do. Contact Dave Greene. * Call, Days may vary.

Connection Group - meets at 11:15 AM each Tuesday to read and discuss the Book of Acts.

Presbyterian Women Circles – Five study circles (Hope, Priscilla, Faith, Ruth, Dorcas) and two fellowship circles (Just Friends and VIP) which meet monthly. All women are automatically members.

Contact the church office for information about any of these groups or to find a group for your special interest.
