Echo Hill is serving the community in a wide variety of activities.
Here are some of the opportunities for helping our neighbors.

Meet & Eat – now located at First Presbyterian Church at 310 5th St SE in CR

The 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. shift helps prepare and serve the meal; the 10:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. shift helps serve and clean up. FFI contact Deb Sedlacek at 365-1668 or Joan Force at 270-7662.
Marion Cares – a Christian-based organization serving the needs of low-income children.

Bickford of Marion – assisted living and memory care facility at 1100 Linden Drive, Marion.
Volunteers are needed a couple of hours per week for visiting, reading, painting nails, going for a walk, or other activity that you would enjoy by “adopting” one of their residents. They would also like help with a new project creating Reminiscing Boxes for patients in their memory care facility. FFI contact Kayla Paulson at 551-6931, or Kristina Harrington at 373-7000.
Olivet Neighborhood Mission – located at 230 10th St. NW in CR
The Mission is in the area most heavily damaged by the flood of 2008. They continue to need donations of clothing and small household items — bedding, towels, dishes, cookware, storage containers, children’s items, etc. The clothes closet and food pantry are open Tues – Fri from 8:30-11:30 a.m, and Sat from 9:00-11:30 a.m. (Closed Mondays).
