Inclement Weather Church Cancellation Procedures

Closing of the facility
It might become necessary at times, because of inclement weather, to close the facility and with that all activities. If this becomes necessary, the following procedure will be followed:

In regards to Sunday Mornings:
The pastor in consultation with a member(s) of the Upword Praise worship team and an elder of the church will make the decision to close the facility. If it is decided to close the facility:

The pastor will contact the website team to have the announcement on the web page. The pastor will also notify KCRG and KGAN.

A member of the Upword Praise Team will contact members of the Upword Praise Team.

The elder will notify the radio stations, WMT, KHAK/KDAT/KMRY/KRQN, and KMRY.

In regards to other days:
The pastor in consultation with the administrative staff will make the decision to close the facility. If it is decided to close the facility:

The pastor will contact the staff and the website team to have the announcement on the web page.

The Administrative Secretary will notify KCRG and KGAN and radio stations, WMT, KHAK/KDAT/ KMRY/KRQN, and KMRY.

Cancelling of Events:
If a ministry team or an activity chooses to cancel their meeting, program, or activity, the chair of that team or leader of that activity should:

Contact the church office (377-4360) if office is open informing them of the cancellation.

Contact the website team to have cancellation placed on website.

Contact members or participants, as possible, to let them know of the cancellation.
