On October 17th, we will again be cutting out fabric for 10 pairs of shoes for Sole Hope. This project provides Ugandan people with shoes to help prevent jiggers. The patterns are used to cut pieces out of denim fabric (used jeans) then these pieces are sent back to be sewn together along with the sole. No special sewing or cobbler skills required!
If you would like to be included in the shoe making process, come to Echo Hill, 715 38th Street SE on Saturday, October 17th. We will start at 9:00 am and end around 11:00 am in Fellowship Hall. Please bring your fabric scissors.
We will be following safe Covid-19 precautions: No food, wear a mask, and social distancing. Hope to see you on October 17th! – The Caring Team
